But also the 30 years of the Fespaco, panafrican film festival, through out a film selection of 11 of the festival's Grand prix: Ceddo by Ousmane Sembene, La Citadelle by Mohamed Chouikh, or Buud Yam by Gaston Kaboré, etc.
Among the international competition, the jury composed by Hervé Le Roux, Olivier Seguret, Rafi Pitts, Catherine Jacques and Edith Perrin awarded the Grand Prix for the Best French Feature film to Laurent Achard for his first feature film Plus qu'hier, moins que demain (for which he also won the Gérard Frot Coutaz award) and a Special Mention to Abderrahmane Sissako for La Vie sur terre.
