Paul has travelled across France to try to find Madeleine, a shepherdess whom he loved. But on his way to the mountain pasture, Paul crosses only sheep, scattered by the storm, as well as a worried shepherd.

Pierre Denoits studied agronomics and then worked in cinema. He worked for several years for the distribution company Potemkine before starting directing films.
