A lone prospector ventures into Alaska looking for gold. During a snowstorm, he finds himself in a cabin where he gets mixed up with Big Jim, a lone gold miner, and outlaw Black Larsen…

In 1942, Chaplin lightly re-edited the movie : he deleted and replaced the silent movie title cards with descriptive voice-over narration and added a new musical score. We are presenting the movie in the original version of 1925.
