One night, a man tells his children a strange hunting story: the disappearance of his friend Jonathan, who went alone into the forest to track a stag which obsessed him. Haunted by this disappearance, the man then goes back to hunting in the remote mountains, where his friend vanished.

 

Safia Benhaim has graduated from the National Decorative Arts School in Paris. Born in France to Moroccan political refugees, she uses her films to explore the difficulties of living in exile. Her work has been screened in film festivals such as Locarno, Rotterdam or the Viennale. SF : L’Arrière-Pays (2009), La Fièvre (Entrevues 2014).
