Maya Kosa and Sergio da Costa graduated in cinema at the HEAD in Geneva. Sergio directed there two shorts before starting to work with Maya: Interview with Almiro Vilar da Costa in 2009 and Snack-bar Aquário in 2010, both selected in Entrevues, well as The Engineer And The Prosthetist, Maya’s diploma film. Together they shot Aux bains de la reine (2012), Rio Corgo, their first documentary feature, shown for the first time in the Forum at the Berlinale in 2016, and Bird Island selected in Locarno this year.
