Süheyla Schwenk
Hayat est venue à Berlin avec son mari Harun dans l’espoir d’offrir un avenir meilleur à leur enfant à naître. Ils n’ont emporté avec eux qu’une petite valise et les cauchemars d’Hayat, souvenirs de sa vie en Syrie.
Süheyla Schwenk was born in Sweden and grew-up in Turkey. She obtained a Master in Acting in Istanbul. Since 2012 she has been studying Directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). In 2017, she received a scholarship to study at the Cuban film school EICTV. Her two previous shorts have been successful in festivals: Meral, Kizim in 2015 and Sevince in 2016. Jiyan is her first feature film.
