University teacher, Hélène Fleckinger is also the author of the thesis : Les relations entre cinéma, vidéo et féminisme (France, 1968-1981). Among a lot of activities and researches, she coordinated the revue La Revue Documentaires about « Mai 68 : tactiques politiques et esthétiques du documentaire » (n°22-23, 2010, with David Faroult) and the DVD-Book Carole Roussopoulos : Caméra militante. Luttes de libération des années 1970 (Genève, MétisPresses, 2010).
