From film to film, Sophie Letourneur has established herself as one of the most singular talents of recent years. With her atypical production methods, a strong team spirit and home made aesthetic, she is now reaching a wide audience. 

Eminent figure of the French New Wave, critic, alpinist, producer, cyclist, documentary filmmaker, comedian: Luc Moullet made almost 40 films in which he switched cheerfully from short to long form, from fiction to documentary, playing as much with stylistic conventions as with financial ones. 

From kidnapping to withdrawal from society, from fantasy comedies to thrillers, this program will explore the mise-en-scene of absence and dissolution.

The powerful gaze of a filmmaker who explores the roots of a land through the intimacy of its characters: that's what we're offering you with the complete version of Steve McQueen's Small Axe, a TV serie and vast memorial project focusing on the Afro-Caribbean community in England from the 1960s to the 1980s, its struggles and its culture.

Starting with Frederick Wiseman's film High School, a journey through the filmmaker's filmography, from his first feature (Titicut Follies, 1967) to the present day, taking an overview of major American institutions: schools, social centers, psychiatric hospitals...
