The young boy Benjamín is having trouble adapting to his job: building wire fences. He has been waiting for days for his Mennonite boss to show up again. The other workers,César and Genaro starts to feel that the forest in the Paraguayan region of Chaco is getting sparse as past problems begin to resurface.

Spurred by passionate love, he attempts to rent a flat that they absolutely cannot afford. Labidi then struggles with a materialistic society at the expense of his writing aspirations.
