36th edition Nadav Lapid
Y., an Israeli filmmaker in his mid-forties, arrives in a remote village at the far end of the desert to present one of his films. There he meets Yahalom, an officer for the Ministry of Culture, and finds himself fighting two losing battles: one against the death of freedom in his country, the other against the death of his mother.

JUDITH LOU LÉVY est une productrice française. Elle a cofondé la société de production Les films du Bal en 2011, avec laquelle elle a notamment produit Atlantique de Mati Diop (Grand Prix du jury à Cannes), Zombi Child de Bertrand Bonello (Quinzaine des réalisateurs 2019) et Funambules d’Ilan Klipper (sélection Acid 2020). Le Genou d’Ahed de Nadav Lapid (Prix du jury cette année à Cannes) est sa première collaboration avec le cinéaste.
