Azul,13, is caught between childhood and adolescence. At the beginning of secondary school, she meets Nico, with whom she will share a small act of rebellion: building an escape route through the bars of the schoolyard. She observes and explores the world. Little by little she penetrates it, facing an unexpected turning point in her journey.

Sofia Introcaso studied Film and Audiovisual Arts at Eliseo Subiela Film School. Mientras todo pasa is her debut feature film. She's currently living in Barcelona, working on her second film El espacio entre las cosas.

A word from the selection committee :
First, we hear the wind and the leaves. A river flowing in the distance and people screaming cheerfully. Then, Azul’s face takes over the whole frame: in her first, largely self-produced feature film, director Sofia Introcaso shares what is left of her adolescent feelings. With her simple, ever so slightly outdated way of directing her young actress - and her spellbinding, melancholic stare – the director guides us through the twists and turns of Azul’s psyche, as the cool and collected protagonist ventures into adulthood. The camera captures her wandering, daydreaming looks, and piercing stares as a body passes by. Mientras Todo Pasa examines the physical changes that very young adults – who have barely left childhood -experience: reflections in a mirror, our dumb-struck heroine staring at her mates in her dance class, the camera capturing a hand resting on a tree, or a thigh. This very first sensation that a body can be the object of desire.
