Beatrix ends up spending the summer alone in a house. Unobserved for the first time, she begins to let goof societal expectations and allows herself to follow her impulses. By doing so she is confronted with herintimacy but also her insecurities. We see Beatrix stumbling between boredom, amusement and lonelinessaccompanied by the unfolding drama of everyday situations.
Milena Czernovsky is currently studying scenography at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her fields of work range from stage and set design to script writing and directing. Lilith Kraxner started to experiment with analogue film throughout an education at Friedl Kubelka School for independent Film in Vienna. Currently she is studying video and video installation at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna. Beatrix is their first feature film.
