A word from the selection committee :
Home tour – an internet video format (also known as Room Tour) that invites viewers to explore and showcase one’s home, bedroom, and personal space. The film therefore begins like an (almost) ordinary home tour: a young woman presents her flat under the silent gaze of two motionless police officers. But as she meticulously describes and re-enacts her daily rituals, a sense of unease sets in, gradually infecting each of her seemingly harmless gestures. The film unravels, short circuits, glitches, distorts, bursts, and falters. Beneath the clinical precision of her narration, a subdued tension rises to the surface, and through the staging of this sanitised, seemingly banal routine, the traumatic memory of sexual violence breaks through unexpectedly. It is a guided tour of a flat, but above all, that of a body in shock; a body that defends itself raising walls as best it can against any possibility of feeling again.Rose Hirgorom
