Abraham finishes a concert in an almost empty venue. As he’s packing up, a woman calls out to him: he’s forgotten something on stage. Unfortunately, Abraham doesn’t see what she’s talking about and the stage is empty. Thus begins a strange nocturnal wandering in search of that something.

After reading law at university, Paul Rigoux entered the distribution department at La Fémis. He directed his first short film Ainsi commença le déclin d’Antoine with his classmates, then Rapide - supported by G.R.E.C - which won several awards, including at Premiers Plans and FIFIB.

A word from the selection committee :
It is not always clear why a film succeeds - especially when one doesn’t know what to look for. Paul Rioux’s third film is full of ambiguities and oddities that are hard to articulate. We are quickly moved by a romanticism that seems propelled by an almost corny earnestness, by the affected elegance of its two characters and their somewhat dated manner of speech; and yet we are surprised by a style that dominates - what direction of actors! -  and gleefully upends the most mannered traits of this kind of cinema. The same goes for a sort of naïve philosophy that touches these lovers in transit - not without a hint of complicit awkwardness. But perhaps we shouldn’t be afraid of our emotions; and if the film moves and disarms us so easily, it is probably because it is, quite simply, a success.
