Abou Leila
Amin Sidi-Boumédiène
Algeria, 1994. S. and Lotfi, two childhood friends, travel through the Sahara. S. is convinced he will find Abou Leila there, a dangerous terrorist on the run, whereas Lotfi has only one priority: to keep S. far away from the bloodshed of the capital. But the deeper they go into the desert, the more they will be confronted with their own violence.
Amin Sidi-Boumédiène obtient en 2005 son diplôme en réalisation à Paris au Conservatoire libre de cinéma français. Il réalise son premier court métrage Demain, Alger ? en 2010, puis L’Île primé au Festival d’Abou Dabi. En 2014, Serial K. est projeté aux Rencontres Cinématographiques de Béjaia. Son premier long métrage Abou Leila, tourné en Algérie, est sélectionné à la 58e Semaine de la Critique à Cannes.
