Algeria, 1994. S. and Lotfi, two childhood friends, travel through the Sahara. S. is convinced he will find Abou Leila there, a dangerous terrorist on the run, whereas Lotfi has only one priority: to keep S. far away from the bloodshed of the capital. But the deeper they go into the desert, the more they will be confronted with their own violence.

Amin Sidi-Boumédiène graduated in 2005 in film directing from the Conservatoire libre du cinéma français in Paris. He made his first short film Tomorrow, Algiers? in 2010, then Al Djazira, awarded at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. In 2014, Serial K. is screened at the Film Days of Bejaia. His first feature film, Abou Leila, shot in Algeria, is selected at the 58th International Critic’s Week in Cannes.
