Anthony Chen
Ling teaches Mandarin at a Singapore high school where her subject is disregarded. For years now, she and her husband have been trying to conceive a child and the process has eroded their relationship. As her professional and personal life disintegrate, her relationship with a student turns her life upside down.
Anthony Chen a étudié le cinéma à l’Ecole Polytechnique Ngee Ann à Singapour, puis à la National Film and Television School à Londres. Il a fait plusieurs courts métrages remarqués à l’international (notamment Grandma qui reçoit une Mention spéciale à Cannes en 2017 et Haze présenté à la Berlinale en 2008), avant que son premier long métrage Ilo Ilo, sélectionné à la Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, ne remporte la Caméra d’Or en 2013. Il est également producteur au sein de sa société Giraffe pictures.
